How to save travel inspiration without drowning in screenshots
Short answer
Put each place on a Board. In the app where you found it, tap Share, choose Save to Board, and pick a Board or leave it in Inbox. No dates, no bookings, nothing else to fill in.
If you already pin places to a Pinterest board, a Board is that same pile, kept for trips. Make one for “Portugal” and one for “Next summer,” and the same place can sit on both.
Save a place in about ten seconds
- In Safari, Maps, or Photos, tap Share.
- Choose Save to Board.
- Pick a Board, or leave it in Inbox for later.
- No title, dates, or category to fill in. Inside Roamwell you can also tap Save to type a note or add a photo.
Make Boards the way you already think
Most people start from one of two places:
- When: “Next summer,” “Our anniversary,” “Someday.”
- Where: “Portugal,” “Kyoto,” “Somewhere with a lake.”
Some piles are neither, and that’s fine too.
When a Board turns into a trip
Open the Board and tap Start a Trip from this Board. Start a new Trip, or add the Board to a trip you already have. The cards you saved stay on the Board, so the next trip can use them too.
Saving while you travel
Walked past a café you want to come back to? On a live trip, open the place in Trips and tap Save to Board. It becomes the start of the next trip.
What Roamwell does with a saved place
- A saved link
- Roamwell fills in the page’s title and picture. Your own note is never overwritten.
- One card, more than one Board
- The same card can sit on “Portugal” and on “Next summer.”
- Who sees a Board
- Only you. Boards aren’t public and nobody can follow them.
