How Roamwell works: one Trip, from saved places to tonight’s story

Short answer

Roamwell keeps one trip in one place. Save places to a Board before you have dates. Keep flights and stays in the trip’s Plan. While you travel, Days collects your photos and stops, and each evening you can make a card for the day. The cards stay together on the trip’s Board.

Most trips end up in five places: screenshots, confirmation emails, a notes app, a group chat, and a camera roll you’ll sort later. Roamwell has two tabs, Boards and Trips, and one Trip ties them together.

Boards: save what catches your eye

A Board is a pile of places with no dates. Call it “Next summer,” “Portugal,” or anything you like. In Safari, Maps, or Photos, tap Share and choose Save to Board. That’s the whole step.

Trips: the Plan, then the day

A Trip holds its Plan: flights, stays, trains, the dinner booking. Add them with Add to plan, or forward the confirmation email.

When the trip’s dates include today, tap Start a Trip, or turn on Go live when you Create a trip. Trips then shows today. Tap Check in at a spot you want to remember.

Each evening: today’s card

  1. Open the trip and tap Make today’s card.
  2. Keep the photos you like and the places that belong.
  3. Give the day a title and tap Add.
  4. The card goes on the trip’s Board. Earlier days stay open on Days, so a missed night can wait. The evening guide walks through it.

Already home?

Start with A trip I already took, pick the trip’s dates, and add the days you want to the trip’s Board. The past-trip guide shows how.
